Role and Responsibility: 

Risedale undertake to recruit, select, and develop Health Care Professionals who demonstrate the ability to perform within the following role:
 
  • Place our residents at the heart of all that you do.
  • Undertake to maintain the physical, psychological and social welfare of residents by delivering acceptable and professional care standards.
  • Under the supervision of the Team Leader, to enhance and develop care delivery and Service Standards and to perform in accordance with policy and procedure documentation.
  • Create a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the requirement to promote residents identity, autonomy and self-esteem, at all times ensuring the protection of residents’ dignity.
  • Demonstrate a genuine affinity towards vulnerable clients, and an understanding of their needs, and undertake to deliver care in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Demonstrate an awareness that vulnerable people are equal members of society and, therefore, adopt an appropriate attitude by providing individualised and not task focused care.
  • Promote and utilise relevant communication skills with residents and their immediate and extended families, in a calm and professional manner.
  • Accept the importance of the service users immediate and extended family and include them whenever appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation relevant to the Health Care Professionals’ role.
  • To attend induction, care certificate if not already received, and all health and safety related compulsory update training to maintain ongoing safety in practice e.g., manual handling as relevant to role and assisting care delivery when required; and to continue to develop as a person and for the benefit of our residents.
  • Offer innovation and a positive attitude to change.
  • Maintain resident and company confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Accept the needs and responsibilities of providing a 24 hours service which will include shifts and night rotation.
  • Harness an open culture of acceptance, learning and development.
  • Maintain safeguarding responsibilities and principles of the Mental Capacity Act, where required by attending compulsory update training.

 

The role of Health Care Professional is both demanding and challenging but can be infinitely rewarding.
