Responsibilities of Care Assistant

• Caring for the complex day to day needs of our residents

• Assisting residents with their personal care and social needs

• Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live

Requirements of Care Assistant Role

• The job involves working at one of our nursing homes in Barrow or at St Cuthberts or Aldingham nursing homes on the Coast Road (own transport is essential for the coast road)

• Rotational Day Positions – Hours are 37.5 a week set on a rota and usually involve 3 long shifts per week 7.45am-9pm but some night cover is required

• Permanent Nights – Hours are 9pm – 8am on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off basis (Monday – Sunday)
